A Leap of Faith

This uncertainty
Will ruin me
Why do I flee
From what could be
The insanity
The hypocrisy
To tell others to be free
Then show my insincerity
When I regretfully
Distastefully
Reveal my insecurity
Not taking that step intrepidly
Not boldly
Fearlessly
Heroically
Or daringly
Not moving ahead toward things I can’t foresee
But staying comfortably
In these notions that I can seize
Within my mind, but I still believe
That if I don’t change, life will cease
To be worth anything that I need
For it is the unknown that will proceed
To be the cause of anxiety
Of worry
To be what causes loss of sleep
It is the task of all who seek
This prize, to sow what you reap
And go on with no timidity
And become all that you were meant to be
So I beg of you, this is my plea
Force me to be the one to lead
To take on life at full speed
So that I may somehow justly breathe
The words with truth that did proceed
Through lips of ambiguity
Now rightfully
Truthfully
Delivering these words to thee
And all that valiantly
Venture into what probably
Will be the end of all you leave
Behind, and become so beautifully
Transformed into a world unseen
And when it has, think back, relieved
Of when you took in faith, that leap
